Terms of Service

By using State Design Collective ("SDC", "the platform", "we"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the platform.

1. Who Can Use SDC

SDC is open to designers, students, and anyone interested in design critique. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

2. Your Content

You own your work. By posting on SDC, you grant us a non-exclusive license to display and distribute your content on the platform. We don't claim ownership of anything you post.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to any content you upload. Don't post work that isn't yours without permission.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post content that is harassing, abusive, or discriminatory
• Spam, scrape, or abuse the platform
• Impersonate other designers or misrepresent your work
• Post NSFW content not relevant to design critique
• Use the platform for commercial solicitation without permission

4. Community Critique Rules

Critique on SDC should be constructive, specific, and respectful. Personal attacks, dismissive comments, or feedback made in bad faith violate community standards and may result in account suspension.

Your Crit Score reflects your standing as a critic in the community. Abuse of the critique system affects your rank and may result in loss of critique privileges.

5. Content Removal and Account Bans

We reserve the right to remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms. If you believe a removal was in error, contact us at statedesigncollective@gmail.com.

Repeated violations will result in permanent bans with no appeal.

6. Flagging System

Users can flag content that violates these terms. Flagging is for genuine policy violations only — misuse of the flagging system is itself a violation.

7. Platform Rights

SDC is provided as-is. We reserve the right to change features, pricing, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice. We are not liable for any loss of data or access.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted means you accept the new terms.
